Get out of your own way.
This was my response to a Twitter post earlier this week, asking what advice would one #writer give to another. And I think that’s the biggest piece of advice I could give anyone, let alone another writer or other #creator: Get out of your own way.
In truth, no one whispered in my ear that I *couldn’t* hit the Publish Button on Amazon for RISE OF ONE, or FINDING HOME. No one wrestled my keyboard away when I set up my author website. No one cancelled my credit card when I went to pay for ISBNs.
If you want to accomplish something, you have to make time for it, yes. You have to take responsibility for the steps you take to achieve that dream. But, also, I’ve found you need to stop imagining obstacles. Click that button. Learn to make a website. Save up & pay for what you need to make your dreams a reality.
Unless there’s someone physically restraining you, get out of your own way 💪
