Exactly 2 months ago, my debut novel as an #indie #author released! It’s been a crazy 8-odd weeks since then: great reviews, being a finalist for an award, hearing feedback from so many different sources, getting to know my readers.
I always knew that independent publishing would never be an easy path. It involves a testing juggle of Real Life Stuff, working full-time, and not just #writing but learning all about #publishing, #book #formatting, and marketing, too. I’ve learned so much since Rise of One’s release and yet there’s still so much I have to learn.
But, at least I started. It’s like that quote about exercise, just by starting you lap everybody else still sitting on the couch. I’ve heard from so many people who’d love to write a book ‘one day’, and I’ve also heard from many authors struggling over that one precious book for years, never being able to let it out into the world.
