Overcoming Struggle

2020 has been a year where we've had to confront so many aspects of our lives that just aren't working for us.

Sure, I published my first novel which was a great success & I've some wonderful personal news that I'll talk about soon. But 2020 has also confronted me with my bad habits: procrastination, doubt, fear of judgement, poor self care.

In the past few weeks, I've a) put plans in place to change in 2021, and b) tackled what's bad for me head on.

It's not easy. Change hurts. Rectifying oneself hurts. But, equally, I want to have a long and stable, creative career, one that I may have to work at alongside my full-time job for many more years. To have such a creative career, I need to sweep away bad habits, commit to better self care and self talk.

Just like 2020, 2021 may not pan out so well either. But, my gosh, I'm going to at least try.
